Lame blogger Cibart

Hello followers (if we happen to still have any).

Bali has been a blast. A perfect balance between culture, beach, and lots of tourism set ups already. The majority of our trip was spent in the Gili Islands- definitely the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. As Kathryn worked on her scuba diving certificate, Brigid Tara and I took in snorkeling and a lot of pure relaxation. We spent one morning getting to see sea turtles up close which was a highlight for sure.

While Brigid and Kathryn recovered from a cockroach run in, Tara and I got to fight off a scorpion in our room. We were pretty happy when our Indonesian hotel owner came in and removed its poisonous stinger and assured us they're non-lethal (whereas the ones in Africa are).

We got some intake of city life in Kuta...Kathryn and I were particularity freaked out to be in a mall with a La Senza and air conditioning! A clear sign we have gotten used to a very different lifestyle.

After saying farewell to Tara and Kathryn, Brigid and I headed north with Wayan our private driver (who we were introduced to by Jan's friends Carmen and Kathy who are currently building a resort in Bali). Very unfortunately immediately upon him picking us up I got very sick and haven't fully shaken it off yet.

Lots of love, missing our 2 travel companions and everyone back home.
